Each school has food and flower garden areas tailored to the school’s campus.  At the Elementary and Primary Schools, our garden areas wrap around and tuck into whatever spaces we could find to accommodate 48 classes.  At the Early Childhood Center, we have an inviting, smaller space for 5 first grade classes.  This information shows assigned locations for the food beds planted and harvested by students.  Each class is assigned two 3′ by 10′ beds.  This allows each student to have a spot to plant and harvest.  We label beds with the teachers’ names that are on signs attached to sections of picket fencing.  The fence is placed in the middle of each bed and serves as support for peas in spring and pole beans in summer.
