Houseplants and flowers that smell better than a perfume

Planting and growing houseplants and flowers are a great way to add a natural fragrance to the house. The sweet, or floral, or citrusy fragrance can fill the rooms with positivity and good vibes.

Gardenias are undoubtedly one of the best-smelling flowers, and so much more fragrant than most perfumes. They have a rich, sweet fragrance that can fill a room.

The Lemongrass leaves are also amazing for adding a citrus fragrance to the homes. Simmering some leaves in water for sometime will release their fragrance, filling the rooms with a citrusy goodness.

Roses are the flowers of love. Rose petals, both dried and fresh, smell amazing, and rubbing a few on your wrist gives long-lasting fresh scent.

The beautiful white and yellow Champa is a big bloom with a sweet fragrance. It is strong, and sweet, and when grows in the wild, can make entire roads and balconies smell like a dream.

Jasmine, especially the ‘Raat rani’ variant, smells better than so many perfumes available in the markets. The way they bloom after sunset, spreading their white petals and soft fragrance all over is totally worth it.

Sweet Peas are soft, delicate flowers that come in a variety of colours, and have a light, subtle fragrance that is perfect for lighting up the environment of a room.
