Million Dollar Cake: A Classic for Any Celebration

Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. This should take about 4-5 minutes.

Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in eggs one at a time, ensuring they are fully combined before adding the next. Stir in vanilla extract.

Incorporate Wet Ingredients: Add sour cream, milk, and oil to the butter mixture. Mix until smooth.

Combine Dry and Wet Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Prepare Frosting: While the cake cools, prepare the frosting by beating butter until creamy, then adding powdered sugar, heavy cream, vanilla, and a pinch of salt. Beat until smooth. Assemble and Serve: Once the cake has cooled, spread the frosting evenly over the top. Slice and serve!
