Foods that contain almost no calories

Strawberries are surprisingly low in calories for being such a delicious treat. Strawberries contain 50 calories per cup (152 grams).

Although there are several types of onions, they all contain around the same calorie content. An average medium onion (100 grams) contains approximately 44 calories.

Bell peppers are very low in calories. One cup of chopped red bell pepper (150 grams) contains about 46 calories.

Spinach is very high in vitamin K and vitamin A. It is also high in protein when compared to other leafy vegetables. One cup of spinach (30 grams) contains only seven calories.

Cucumbers are extremely low in calories due to their high water content. A full cup of chopped cucumbers (104 grams) contains only 16 calories.

Lettuce, as is well known, is very low in calories due to it being mostly water. One cup of lettuce (72 grams) has only around 10 calories.
