This high-protein Tofu Rice is perfect for a healthy winter dinner

Want to eat something delicious for dinner without worrying about calories? Then try this high-protein tofu rice, which makes for an excellent and filling choice for a winter dinner. This dinner recipe is a perfect balance of taste and health.

1 cup cooked rice, 200 g tofu, 1 tbsp olive oil, 1 large onion, 1 cup mixed veggies, 2-3 garlic cloves, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp chili flakes, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp cumin powder, 1/2 tsp coriander powder, salt, and pepper.

To begin with this easy recipe, wash the veggies and chop them and keep them aside. Meanwhile, press the tofu for 15-20 minutes to remove excess water. Cut the tofu into cubes.

Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the tofu cubes to the pan and cook them until they are golden and crispy on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Set the tofu aside.

To the same pan, add some more oil and then add in onion and ginger garlic paste, garlic sauté. Then add in veggies, soy sauce, and spices, and stir-fry along with tofu.

At this stage, add in cooked rice, adjust the seasoning, and sprinkle some water, toss it up, and keep cooking. Once the Tofu rice is nicely cooked, turn off the heat and enjoy it hot!
