While pet dogs are known to be loyal to their owners, some dog breeds aren't too suitable for families because of their temperament or how they respond to children. Here we list 10 breeds that might not be the best fit for families with kids.

These Japanese dogs are known for their loyalty towards their owners, but can also be territorial and less tolerant to strangers, including kids. They need proper training and a lot of socialisation to get used to the company of people.

While these small toy dogs look cute, they are not very tolerate to rough play or handling by children. And this may make them less suitable for kids.
